Herbs: Ginger, Citrus • Goals: Digestion

Ingredients
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 small orange
- 1–2 tsp raw honey (optional)
- 2 cups filtered water
Equipment
- Kettle or small saucepan
- Fine mesh strainer or tea sieve
- Citrus juicer
- Heatproof mug or teacup
Instructions
- Boil water in a kettle or saucepan.
- While heating, peel and thinly slice the ginger root.
- Add ginger slices to a heatproof mug.
- Pour the hot water over the ginger and let it steep for 8–10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, juice the lemon and orange.
- After steeping, strain the ginger tea and stir in the citrus juices.
- Taste and add raw honey if desired.
- Serve warm for digestive ease or chill and serve over ice for a zesty refreshment.
Tips & Variations
- Add a pinch of cayenne for extra zing and metabolism support.
- Infuse with fresh mint for a cooling twist.
- Swap lemon with lime for a tropical variation.
- Store leftover tea in the fridge for up to 2 days.
