Aloe Scalp Rinse with Rosemary

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh aloe vera gel (or store-bought pure aloe)
  • 1½ cups distilled water
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary (or 3 fresh sprigs)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional for pH balance)

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer or cheesecloth
  • Blender (if using fresh aloe)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Applicator bottle or jug

Instructions

  • 1. Make the Rosemary Infusion
In a saucepan, bring 1½ cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add rosemary, cover, and steep for 30 minutes. Strain and let it cool.
  • 2. Prepare the Aloe
If using fresh aloe, scoop the gel and blend it until smooth. If using bottled pure aloe, skip blending.
  • 3. Combine
In a jug or bowl, mix the cooled rosemary water with the aloe gel. Stir in the apple cider vinegar if using.
  • 4. Use
After shampooing, pour the rinse slowly over your scalp and hair. Massage gently. Do not rinse out—let it air dry or pat gently with a towel.
  • 5. Store
Keep any extra rinse refrigerated in a clean container for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use.

Tips & Variations

  • Dry Scalp: Add a few drops of tea tree oil for antifungal support.

  • No Aloe? Substitute with cucumber juice for a similar cooling effect.
  • Scent Option: Add 2 drops of lavender oil for a calming aroma.
