Aloe-Cucumber Toner

Ingredients

  • ½ fresh cucumber (preferably organic)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh aloe vera gel (from the leaf or store-bought pure aloe)
  • ½ cup distilled water or rose water
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon witch hazel (for oily skin) or a few drops of tea tree essential oil (for acne-prone skin)

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth
  • Measuring spoons and cup
  • Sterile glass spray bottle or jar (100–150 ml)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the cucumber into small pieces.
  2. Blend the cucumber and aloe vera gel together until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh to remove pulp.
  4. Mix the strained juice with distilled water (and optional ingredients, if using).
  5. Pour into a clean spray bottle or jar.
  6. Store in the fridge and use within 5–7 days.

Tips & Variations

  • Use rose water instead of distilled water for a floral, toning effect.
  • Keep your toner refrigerated for an extra cooling burst on hot days.
  • Patch test before use, especially if adding witch hazel or essential oils.
  • For travel, pour into a small spray bottle and keep it in your cooler or bag.
